Fear Storms

Any time we rise to action and our lives begin a new direction leaving or exploding our comfort zones, internal panic is inevitable. In a webinar I heard the perfect term for moments of panic: Fear Storm. Like any weather, it will pass. You should have a mentor or friend to call to help guide you to calmer waters before your ship gets damaged. When better winds prevail, you will need to raise your full sails and ride the wind to your destiny. We are captains of our souls and masters of our fates, as Henley wrote in his poem, Invictus. Reasons or excuses in the next post.

Pay it Forward

I am watching this movie right now. I remember it being shown in a high school that taught in and the roughest, toughest, meanest inner-city gang banging lost soul found solace and tears in this inspired movie. I always hope it resonated enough to help him turn a corner and thrive, not just survive.

The greatest part of any wealth, whether it is financial, health, spiritual or all of the fore mentioned, is to give to give and receive more than one can imagine or spend.

So whatever wealth we amass, it will only grow when we give with no intention to receive. A beautiful irony that no poverty of spirit is immune to, the more you give, the more you receive.

Failure is contagious, but so is success as wealth of spirit will rise this World out of the darkness that sometimes seems to swallow whole. Yes, when it seems so dark that hope is lost, we must remember that History does repeat, but not always. Only we can be the captains of our souls and the masters of our fate.
